About Us

At Highacres Commons ("HAC)", we are committed to providing our residents with quality and environmentally responsible housing while they enjoy their time at Penn State Hazleton. HAC is managed by a full time professional staff and provides several housing options for our residents at either Highacres Commons - Faith Drive or Highacres Commons - Melrose Place. All HAC properties are environmentally friendly, smoke free and Resident Assistant staffed facilities.

We are especially pleased to announce the opening of our brand new building, Melrose Place. Melrose Place is a newly constructed GREEN building which combines cutting edge technology and smart living practices to dramatically reduce our impact on the environment.

Highacres Commons on Faith Drive
This modern facility provides housing for up to 100 residents in 24 fully furnished units. Each unit includes 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, modern kitchen and large common living area. Residents receive cable TV, wired and wireless Internet, laundry facilities, lounge area, parking and free transportation to campus.

Highacres Commons on Melrose Place 
Melrose Place is a cutting edge, GREEN residential option for PSU-Hazleton students located directly across the street from Campus. Much of our electricity comes from clean, renewable solar energy. We have also incorporated high efficiency central heating and cooling, low flow water fixtures, tankless hot water, advanced storm water management systems and several other environmentally friendly building systems.

This modern facility provides housing for PSU students in fully furnished units complete with private and shared bedrooms, bathrooms, modern kitchens, energy star appliances, central heating and cooling and large common living areas. Residents receive cable TV, wired and wireless Internet, lounge and laundry facilities and may register for parking.
